simple delivery

hello every one I have read the new postage simple delivery  for small private sellers like me and I am very concerned its going to be ebay who decides what courier they think I should use, and even more concerned the buyer will choose .this is hermes evri the worst couriers I have never known, I am selling my antique dolls and send them the quickest and safe with my choosen courier .fully insured and next day delivery which I have done with my items for over 17 yrs. I charge my buyers a set amount but if my box and packing goes over I pay the extra for peace of mind. and the thought of them being sent via hermes evri scares me and I would not trust them with a teddy bear, ebay must let me choose my own courier but I am told I have no choice, antiques no matter what must be sent in a manner they deserve and the simple delivery is not . simple delivery is just that for clothes shoes and not breakable .not for antiques and items of great value, I have had my dolls for over 50 years and simple delivery is not going to happen, I do not want to leave ebay but I will take my antiques some where else, so many great sellers have gone, but ebay does not take the time to ask why. ebay must look after the private sellers like me but I doubt it .the big boys are more important,

Re: simple delivery

Ebay do not show a Royal Mail Small Parcel option in Simple Delivery. The lowest parcel size is Large Letter then it jumps to Medium Parcel. Where is the Royal Mail Tracked 48 SMALL Parcel?

Re: simple delivery

bulky items are exempt from SD

There’s a link at the bottom of the page where you chose weight which says oversize or over heavy parcel? Click on custom delivery and go from there chosing weights and dimensions and all the heavy couriers will appear

its similar on the app too

Re: simple delivery

I thought eBay said as long as it’s a tracked parcel there are no
issues with it .my dolls boxes are 48” long some smaller and size as I have
collected antique child dolls for nearly 60 yrs .and have sold since 2007
.they are of high value and SD will not cover them .so if this is not true
where do I stand .
They have taken a fortune in fee’s from my collectables over the years now
what no sales ?

Re: simple delivery

See my post at 9.40

as an aside that option allows you to put any size and weight 😐 don’t know if it will be a workaround to SD in general

Re: simple delivery

It's Ebay's false statement of  'Competitive rates' that annoys me.
750g large letter: Ebay Evri £2.70, Parcels2go £2.58, £2.46 with no insurance.

0-1kg parcel: : Ebay Evri £2.94, Parcels2go £2.69, £2.64 no protection.
Why are sellers paying for £100 insurance?

Re: simple delivery

I am a Seller I am not charging insurance if not needed it’s eBay and it’s
couriers who will not give you more than £60 and hike it. They wanted
£13.65 for my parcel-force label when I can get it cheaper on there
website. My poor buyer paid £13.67 for buyer protection in case I am a
seller from hell .which is higher than there postage
as a buyer and a seller I am so p——off with all this .I give free post my
label my choice eBay wanted to charge me seller pays £15.85 .every time I
check there label and every time I am going else where
The problem that arises I can not get an any info from my buyer as eBay’s
big brother computer shuts me down.
EBay is setting buyer against private sellers and sellers against buyers .
My buyers are outraged at the protection fee asking why are you charging me
on top of my purchase price
EBay needs to stop playing these games and charge a small fee for all
.like Humpty Dumpty you can carry on like this and when you fall and bump
your head you will have nothing only remember what you had and lost
