Hi everyone,
I've recently made some purchases from for US (on ebay.co.uk) and they have been shipped through eBay's International Shipping.
My first package has arrived promptly without any issues at all. It was only at Glendale Heights, IL 60139 for 2-3 days.
But my second package, has been stuck (?) at Glendale Heights, IL 60139 since 01-AUG-2024 with no updates past that point. I'm sure this asked a million of times sorry, but is this normal/common?
I'm just asking, as the ETA for delivery is Friday 23-AUG-2024.
I've attached the details of which I can see.
Any advice will be very much appreciated!
Many thanks in advance.

It's a Tom Jones situation.
Fortunately you have the eBay Money Back Guarantee to protect you if your item does not arrive by the Last Estimated Delivery Date.

Did you ever receive the item? I am in the same boat currently having my item stuck at Glendale Heights since 16th October. Still no movement and I've had to process an INR to get a full refund as it's estimated arrival date has now passed. EBay closed the case and issued refund almost immediately saying 'they need to consider parcel lost in transit' but also if the item arrives I can keep it. Very concerned with the way EBay operates now, especially in the US. Anyone else experienced this incompetence before?

I have an item , bought on 25th November from Delaware , US destined for the UK , it is now ,and has been for several days 700 miles further away from me than when it started off , in Glendale Heights.
What a bizarre way of sending an item, I paid over $30 for postage for something that even with packaging weighs about 500g .
It's way to complicated

Unfortunately you are out of time to make an eBay claim as you only have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date.
Open a PayPal not received case or speak to your payment provider.

Just an update , now 18th December , still not received my package , according to tracking , it is in the UK though , $30.45 postage for a 227g package (0.5lbs) and its taken 22 days just to reach the UK, ridiculous, you'd think the price I paid would involve some sort of priority or urgency

Final update , my item arrived on the 21st December , just the 26 days after posting , why it went from Delaware to near Chicago, when it was destined for the UK is beyond me , eBay got involved and because they did, it probably added 3 weeks to the delivery time that I paid $30.45 for postage of a 227g package.
Who knew ?

Ebays International Shipping, is a complete con and a total rip off! The extortionate price you've quoted for small items is typical. I was charges $15 for two key blanks in an envelope, and all they did was take that normal letter sized envelope, and stuck it inside another A4 envelope. I'm currently monitoring an item thats travelled 1200 miles in the wrong direction, and is sitting doing nothing now, for 4 days. I ordered a new gas tank, cost $65 to send via FedEx,,,it arrived 6 days after i ordered. I've asked sellers to get alternative quotes from professional couriers, as the prices they have for items using Ebay, is completely random and meaningless. I've seen two identical items, both in America, relatively close together, and one was 5 times more expensive to post. Sellers are using the excuse, "its ebays international shipping we're told to use", which is absolute rubbish, there's nothing stopping ANYONE choosing their own postal services.

i ordered an item from america, it went from texas to Chicago to UK on to south Korea then back to UK and arrived on my door about 3 weeks after the final date now to be kind of fair it was about a week in customs 2nd time round in UK. but to say that package got its money's worth in travel is a painful joke.

It is bizarre , that journey must make sense to somebody , it just doesn't make sense to me and obviously you.
My package eventually arrived after 26 days , but I'd voluntarily paid $32 postage on my item that weighed less than 1kg , for that price I expected some sort of expedited service , not ' snail mail ' .

i dont know who lmfao but yeah I agree the expense vs service is way outbalanced.
i currently have another shipment sitting in Glendale Heights right now which is what brought me here, frankly the statement about being handed to an individual worried me a lot, after reading this thread I'm more so worried about it arriving but time will tell I guess. question for you though, the $32 shipping did it get reflected on the postage label or? I'm wondering if they use this to keep some extra cash and use cheaper mailing costs...
