Have Yodel increased their prices for a 1kg parcel?
Previously it was £2.69 and now its showing £4.09
Did I miss an announcement? Anyone else experiencing this?

£4.09 is the price for sending to Northern Ireland, prices haven't changed

The price change looks like it's Northern Ireland only. Zero contact from eBay about this increase, and the eBay rep I spoke to had no idea about it. They've escalated this to the finance team to see if it's temporary or permanent.
I've reverted to Royal Mail 48 in the meantime, but I personally can see this being a permanent change unfortunately.

Packlink have now updated their price list as well to show the change so I doubt its going back to £2.69 and this looks like its going to be permanent for NI sellers.
I'm in NI and have been using Yodel as my main shipper for a couple years now. Very disappointed in this price hike without any advance notice.
And this comes after Yodel announced a few weeks ago they were opening 56 new locations in NI?!?!
I'd say most NI ebay sellers will now just use Royal Mail Tracked 48 as its nearly a quid cheaper so good luck to Yodel.
It was fun while it lasted, but back to Royal Mail I go... with my cap in hand...

Very disappointed as well with this exaggerated price increase. Not very good at all for NI sellers.

The price on Yodel Directs website is still £2.70. You can link your eBay account and add money to a prepay account.
Unfortunately this an extra process, but keeps the postage cost low.
Vinted shipping is still not affected, so I believe this is an eBay only price increase. Only time will tell.

I’ve just tried using yodel direct from Northern Ireland and instead of the £2.69 it’s now £3.25, I was able to do it on Friday!
I can’t change the postage on the 100 items that are ending today which is frustrating.

I was on with the chat and they weren't able to confirm what was happening. I had been able to use my Gold Discount and a 10% off code to send parcels for £2.20. now it's so expensive there is no profit. Back to Evri 🙄

Yodel direct has upped their prices, as far as I can see

I’m in N.Ireland and regularly post to mainland UK for £2.69. Price change today.

Yodel Direct have now upped their prices as well to £3.90 as of today
But for mainland to mainland its still £2.70
NI sellers getting screwed over again

Yes its very frustrating and without notice. There's no mention on their website and when I got through to live chat, even their staff wasn't aware of the price increase and they had to open a case to look into. I don't understand the such large increase for NI sellers only. Only going to send customers to other couriers.

Be keen to hear what the response is. It's very a excessive increase .

Yodel have now ruined their business in NI. I sent close to 1000 items last year & now it’ll be none. I’ve sent none since the price change.

I went to buy a label through eBay this afternoon and it came up at £6.09, previously £2.69. Checked and rechecked the parcel size and weight was correct. Price on the Yodel website is still £2.70. looks like a relationship issue to me (kick-backs)

I just went on to Packlink to send a parcel and Yodel saying £4.09 and I am in the South of England so not sure what is happening but that literally makes it more expensive and it takes longer than RM48 - what is this craziness? Annoying to have to go direct to Yodel if it's just Packlink price - which ironically is meant to be better value for us eBay sellers!

Yodel is showing is showing as £6.19 to send a padded envelope of 250g? That is absolutely mental. Royal mail 48 is cheaper. What has happened? Postage within the UK obviously.

£6.19 for me, its absolutely insane

a few hours after making my post on 8-02-2025 the price normalised again. something clearly isn't right and I remain in the belief that its about commercial relationships.
