I just listed an item and as usual I dispatch next working day by: Royal Mail Special Delivery. But ebay has estimated delivery for the 27th of December.
If the item sales this weekend I will send it Monday the 22nd for guaranteed delivery on Tuesday the 23rd.
So why is ebay stating delivery for the 27th?
Royal Mail States last Last posting time for Christmas as the the Monday the 22nd.
This is really poor from ebay because some buyers might see the delivery estimate and not bother looking further because it will arrive after Christmas.
If ebay are going to use delivery estimates then they should make sure they are correct!

Your dispatch setting for 'within one working day' instead of 'same day' may be the reason eBay is giving an estimated delivery date after Christmas for RM TM 1pm.

Hi and thanks for the reply.
My setting is for dispatch next working day (As I always do) Meaning I will send the item on Monday for delivery on Tuesday. So the estimated delivery date should be the 24th December and not the 27th.
I know it's Christmas but Royal Mail are still stating next day delivery if posted on Monday.
If somebody buys this item today Saturday or tomorrow Sunday I will post it on Monday morning.
The estimate is clearly wrong.

It's because you have your dates wrong... this coming Monday is the 23rd December.

What do you mean? I know Monday is the 23rd
(Edit: Sorry you are correct but the dates on the listing are correct)
This item has now sold and I will post it on Monday the 23rd for delivery on Tuesday 24th.
My dates on the listing are correct so ebay is still wrong for estimating delivery on 27th.
