Would eBay update their estimated delivery times?

I did a test post last Monday sending a 2nd class letter to myself.

So posting it to my address in my city and it took 6 days to arrive.

eBay quote for 2nd class, 1-2 days estimated delivery!

With Royal Mail now adjusting 2nd class deliveries to every other day and removing Saturday totally, how can we get eBay to at least add a couple of extra days to the estimated delivery days?

Is there any chance of getting a reply from eBay on this?

Both services state an estimated 2-3 day delivery, my second class items are now taking 5-10 working days to arrive, thus I now get several INR cases as people expect them in 3 days.

Are eBay even aware of the changes to the 2nd class service or do they simply not care? You send me messages about my increased INR cases, but don't do anything to help sellers with reasonable estimated delivery times.

I don't seem to be having troubles with 2nd class small parcels or the Tracked 48 which is the same as 2nd class but just with tracking added. They (Royal Mail) still quote 2-3 days for 2nd class.

2nd class letter post is going to be delivered 3 days a week not 6 and they have been trialling it in 39 areas including London this is why Ebay want SD and no 2nd class letter all £2.70 tracked. The problem is that it's not everywhere yet and i'm not sure when it will be

Yeah, my issue is, If I go the tracked way on all my items, I go out of business. OR I no longer do a free postage option.

It's not free to me, but stamps are cheaper, especially for my lowest sub £5 items.

What I've done now is put a 2-day dispatch time on all my listings. Not sure if it will affect my Top Rated seller status, but it might give a little leeway.

Even on my cheaper items, I still buy an eBay Royal Mail label as it's cheaper than the Post Office and stamps. Most letters or large letters, I just send 2nd class because they SHOULD also get scanned on delivery.
