Where has the weight gone from listings

Hi

Iv noticed that my listing no longer have weights on and now I'm having to input them manually on my royal mail account (which was linked and applied weight automatically). Is anyone else having this issue too?

I have the same issue.

New listings are setting it at a high level for my international postage and I cannot change it.

Same problem here.

I haven't had to do a label yet, but I created some listings today and the box to enter weight isn't there.

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

Hi all,

This is a technical issue from our end, we don't have an estimated fix time at the moment, but as soon as this is resolved, we will let you know.

Thank you,

Marco

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

How can we use weight tables to calculate postage if we cant enter the weight, ebay is a shambles.

That's a week since it was reported - any news of a fix?

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

I have also noticed that the default on postage is now SD coupled with cabin luggage, thereby making it longer and more awkward to get your listing(s) completed due to having to make more clicks. Greedbay seem to be making everything more difficult for the user unless you adopt their 'new improved' ideas.

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

When will this be fixed? It is meaning our items are showing as free postage as we use weight based pricing. It is causing us a lot of problems, we have over 100,000 items!!!!

This appears to be broken again - how are eBay changing things like this and not testing properly!

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

If (in their greed) ebay didn't keep trying to change things and in so doing breaking things, they wouldn't need fixing.

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

Quite agree but as I mentioned before this is ALL being done to try and get Private sellers to become Business sellers. EBay has had such a kicking from HMRC for people not declaring earnings that it is easier to pee them all off, make them business sellers and their headache goes away. Ebay had to chase 1000's of sellers for their Nat Insurance numbers to give to HMRC and they don't want to do that again!! Remember, if you sell more than 30 items (no matter how small the price) in a 12 month period then HMRC will be notified.

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

I think you are wrong about that.  Even if all the private sellers registered as business sellers,  they would still have to report the sales over the threshold amounts to HMRC, and would still require the NI number to do so.  The requirement for NI numbers is ongoing, and new sellers, or those who have not sold for some time are being asked to submit their NI number before being permitted to sell.

I would like to see what evidence you have that ebay have had "a kicking" from HMRC.  The requirement for reporting sales above the threshold amounts isn't just an ebay thing, it is happening with all the online marketplaces where HMRC think people are hiding substantial earnings which are not being included in tax returns.

The only genuine reason for anyone to get uptight about the reporting of sales above the thresholds is if they are indeed, hiding trading income from HMRC and guilty of tax evasion.   Those who are selling their own items and are below the actual tax allowance amount will not be taxed, and if they are above the amount they would be guilty of tax evasion if they didn't declare it.

Re: Where has the weight gone from listings

Marco - is there any update on the weight issue???

There seems to be so much broken right now - the report item link in EVERY listing does not work.

I'm trying to send an offer to someone this morning too and it just says there is a technical issue.

What is going on!?
