I am just at a loss here.
I have a postage defect that Ebay will not remove because tracking indicates late delivery. I appealed and the computer says 'NO'.
I get an order on Aug 23rd, ship out next day, via T48, (I don't even have to post out on a Saturday).
Tracking confirms this and it's delivered on the Tuesday. I even uploaded proof when appealing.

On your listings it states
"Will usually dispatch within same working day."
If you had an order on the 23rd, the defect could be because you dispatched late?

That was bank holiday weekend - if it was estimated as delivery Mon 26th ebay are removing defects because they didn't factor in the holiday they say it takes 7 to 14 days

Thanks, I did check that and my cut off is 12pm. The sale had passed that time.

Well here hoping! It's about time eBay sorted their estimated delivery times out. They just don't correlate with real world Royal mail timeframes.
Every single postal defect I've had has always been out of my control. eBay just aren't interested most of the time.

From experiance ebay CS can manually remove a small number of defects during each period - the rest are removed by the team who deal with defects each period . (the auto system always refuses because the criteria hasn't been met)
We get hundreds added and removed each month through using RM48 which has a delivery scan only - sometimes we get that many we have to ask for some to be manually removed - never had a problem and once you get used to how ebay administer defects it isn't a worry.
The automatic system adds defects when the EDD is not met or a dispatch scan is not available however since the advent of deivery scan only tracking and an integrated delivery system ebay manually remove most defects for items where dispatch is confirmed via the carriers API to ebay. (as long as it shows dispatched on time)

CS were useless, I just contacted them and they linked me to the dedicated team (which was infact a link to the automated response page that declined it in the first place).

This is the official communications from ebay last week, incase you haven't seen it. If the defect isn't removed within the time frame mentioned (up to 14 days) then you will need to get CS to read their own communications and get it removed. You are covered for the BH weekend.

Hi
I would raise this with the community chat team this wednesday at 2pm. They should be able to help.
Best wishes

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
TBH, I'm tired of jumping through hoops to keep 'Top rated plus' seller status.
This isn't the first time it's happened and nothing is ever done about it. I always post same, or next day as required.
The tracking system on here is rubbish. It bears no correlation to the real world.
Regards

Hi
Lots of sellers are in the same situation, I would encourage you to mention this to the team on Wednesday if you have time.
Best wishes
