Way round simple postage?

Hi. I want to sell a long but not very wide item - 110 cms x 10 cms. As a private seller, I assume that my only option is simple postage, for which the package would be longer than the max size permitted. Is there any way around this, or would I have to register as a business seller and therefore pay sellers fees if I want to choose my own carrier/postage fees?

It should be OK to go via Evri as their length limit is 120cm.  When you list it switch Royal Mail off so you don't get one of their labels.
