Was ment to post but buyer asked to collect

I recently sold an item through eBay. The buyer paid and I got the item ready to post. Before I could purchase the prepaid postage label, the buyer emailed saying they were local, asking if they could collect the item as it was needed urgently. I agreed and the next morning the buyer called at mine and collected.
The buyer was happy, I was happy, no issues. Obviously now eBay is requesting that I print a postage label and send it so that there’s a valid delivery. I have received a dispatch overdue note. Will eBay refund the money back to the buyer at some point? Is there a way I can inform eBay the item was collected?

eBay won't refund the money but you can mark it as dispatched by opening the postage label.    As the item is untracked the payment will be held for 14 days but you will get it.    The cost of the unused label will be refunded automatically to the buyer in 30 days.
