What a mess! So the problem is only with eBay parcels? That means it’s an issue on eBay’s side, not Royal Mail’s fault… Looks like it’s going to take longer to sort out!

I went to my local Post Office today at 2:10pm (Mon 4th August 2025) at Tesco Brent Park.
They had turned me away on Saturday 2nd August citing a problem with the systems and to return on Monday, which I did with the same parcel and YA label.
They turned me away again and could not accept my parcel. They said there was a problem with the label.
This is really annoying and costly for a very small business with already marginal returns from ebaying.
Going back home and viewing the options on Seller Hub > Postal label, I was looking for an option to cancel the label and raise a new one. But Simple Delivery states that postage labels, once raised, can't be cancelled.
So what do we do??
@Ebay - What do we do?

"The Post Office is experiencing issues with Royal Mail T48 labels (print in store and at home). We expect resolution by Monday, 4th August. Meanwhile, send parcels using alternative locations like Collect+ and Lockers. " - did you tried this?

All post offices have been told to accept the parcels but they won’t be tracked on the listing. I’ve just sent 5 off and taken photos of the labeled products behind the counter.
Hope they fix this soon as we’re going to be waiting longer to be paid if the seller doesn’t leave feedback

Not just eBay. Same issue with my website orders

I've been doing lots of tracked 48 today at work that all have QG codes so I'm hoping they will be OK (we have a daily collection for those)
I have 22 printed YA labels (4 days worth) stuck on parcels that I cannot post - I'm hoping by the time I get to the post office at 7pm they will be able to take them...

someone has said it will be wednesday at a push, as they know someone who works for royalmail were being fobbed off! i have put my account on away mode for a few days.the whole thing is ridiculous.good luck though as you have alot of parcels.i paid to post them but i wont give up getting a refund.

Thank you I'm going to need it lol
Worst case I'll pay at the post office too and just stick the new labels over the old barcodes and then claim back for the unused ones from eBay's it's just a lot of hassle for something that was working so perfectly well!

So the parcels I took in today were scanned by the lady at the counter, and she printed me a kind of receipt. All of them now show the status "courier scanned" and "we have it" in the tracking. But the parcels I dropped off on Saturday still say "label created" and "we're expecting it"... so... I guess I'm screwed.

I’m in the same boat with 3 of my parcels. One sold for over £130 so I’m slightly worried to say the least. I was expecting a courier scan today when it was collected but all 3 listings still say dispatched and RM website ‘we’re expecting it’

Right... I just went to my local post office with two bags containing with 22 parcels. Every parcel had a YA tracked 48 hour label on and of course none of them were accepted.
As the address details were easy visible, I paid the post office to post them using the same service and they simply stuck the new barcode labels over the new ones - This only took a a few minutes to do as they only need the house number and postcode and they then gave me the proper printout with all new tracking numbers.
I went home and added the new tracking number to the order notes on each order and then requested a refund on each separate ebay label I had purchased through this link - www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
I did consider mailing all the buyers with the new tracking information but it will take too long so I'm going to wait and see what happens. If someone messages me I can respond with the new tracking number.
No idea how long the refunds will take but I'll post on here when I hear something back.
VERY disappointed that ebay or Royal Mail have not been more helpful - Even just a popup or something would have been nice. Something I can take a photo/screenshot of and send to the buyer maybe? ANY information would have been helpful but as always the community here has been excellent!

I’ve just checked and one of my Saturday parcels has just been scanned by the courier and the status changed to “We have got it”!

Lucky you 🤣🤣

I assume this only works if the Seller paid for the postage. If you are set for the buyer to pay for the postage and you get a new postal label ( and pay for it yourself) the buyer will eventually get a refund on their postage?

This is how it works for unused Simple Delivery labels:
