Tracking selection issúes

Hi

Tried sending an item vía click and drop RM 48 tracked. Post Master said he can't do it because tracking code incorrect. Çhecked code and it has prefix YA which means not assigned.  Post master said it would not be covered for loss if sent it.

Checked eBay and all options for tracking says no.  Rang post office CS and they were unaware of this issue but would get tech on it. Tried another PO lady said loads have tried but she has told them it won't work.  eBay is still showing 'No' for tracking for all options for all couriers and RM won't work.

Anyone any info on thiS

Yep, others are having the same issue in the past few days, many reports of this coming through, you are not alone.

Some are reporting  this to CS,  and being told they would be sent a new label!    Hmmm!   Personally,  with the seemingly hundreds of cases which would need to be dealt with,  I wouldn't solely rely on this to happen.

Another member has reported CS telling them it's a Royal Mail issue, which will be solved in 24 hours!! 

Seems for the time being, the answer is to either buy your own postage label through Royal Mail / Post Office,  and manually enter the new tracking details.  Or, try again later for an SD label.

Then, for the unused label:

• If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

• If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.

The issue is not just with eBay. We purchased label from RM site with the same issue and the post master could not create a new one either, so technically I am unable to send the item.

Tried contacting eBay CS but it was automated and then crashed when putting me through to chat with someone. RM don't offer help either and there are no status updates anywhere.
