Simple Delivery should be optional

I no longer have the option to select my own postage service on my account which is vital to take into account the size, value, insurance, shipping speed and so now I cannot edit my listings or add any new listings.

It is outrageous that we are being held hostage and being forced to use Simple Delivery now. It should be optional for those people that want to use it and the majority of the sellers who don't should have the free will to choose whatever postage service they desire.

I've participated in one of the other threads on here which is a petition about this matter and hope more people will complain so eBay gets the message to change things back!

What's the specific problem with the size, value, insurance and/or shipping speed of your items?

My problem is I sell low value items £2-3 and use royal mail large letter for £2 but now with this garbage system I’ve got to fork out for completely unnecessary expensive tracking.

I’d just rather refund the buyer on the off chance it goes missing.

That's a different issue to the one raised by the OP - if I understood it correctly.

Your point stands and has been raised many times on this forum. I don't have an answer and so I've hidden about 90% of my items accordingly.

Mine have switched to SD only but I have free delivery on all my items, it’s still letting me just mark the item as shipped and not charging me for their garbage labels. It’s still working as of today 19/6/25.
