Up until about a week ago (Last week of Feb 2025). New listings were very simple with regards to postage. Simply chose 'Simple Delivery'
Yesterday 28th Feb 2025 when posting a new item, there is no simple delivery option. It wants me to choose the delivery services and enter prices for these services. I read that simple delivery is mandatory and when checking my settings, my Simple Delivery (SD) is active and Evri/Royal Mail are the selected services.
If I do not choose a delivery option for the new listing, Understanding that SD is mandatory so should not require extra services to be picked, The listing will not post and gives an error that a shipping service is required.
When viewing old listings, they do not have a simple delivery option in the shipping either now but there is a text message in the shipping section that says SD is being used.
Currently I am unable to list anything new unless I choose delivery services. I am quite happy with how SD has worked so far.
Am I missing something here?
I have scrolled through all of the delivery services on offer and there's nothing SD related and the big postage button options where SD used to be shown now only have the usual Deliver , delivery collection

As an update. Using the application rather than the browser. When you get to postage options, you can choose 'recommended' and it chooses a service and prices it automatically, still not the SD option but easier than scrolling and choosing services and adding prices etc.
I do not use the application for listings and use a web browser.

I'm getting the same behaviour, both yesterday and today (2nd March 2025): "Simple Delivery" seems to have disappeared

I’m having a similar issue. When I list trainers, there is no Simple Delivery option which seems very odd. I’ve asked ebay about it twice but no response as yet. I wondered whether it had something to do with Guaranteed Authenticity, as thats the only thing different for trainers, but I’m not selling anything that expensive. Very confused 😞

Bulky items and Authenticity Guarantee listings are currently excluded from Simple Delivery. See our help page here for more details.

I am having a similar issue. I do see an option for SD, but even when I select it and confirm the recommended package size, it doesn't show on the listing when I go to preview it. It says collection only. For example, on this item, 205578967412, I had to add Royal Mail manually. And on this one, 4760542338603, which I'm trying to list today, the preview shows that I'm offering collection only.
Any ideas for fixes would be really welcome! Thanks in advance, Christina.

Hi Kat, thanks for reaching out. There are a few listings this happens to. I never understand when simple delivery will show as an option or not. 127182856711 and 127182684386 are most recent ones that don’t show simple delivery as an option. If you could advise what I’m doing “wrong” or different to cause simple delivery not to show as an option I’d be grateful

I’m having a similar issue. When I list trainers, kids shoes and women’s bags - there is no Simple Delivery option which seems very odd especially as they are all small and light items. I’ve asked ebay about it twice but no response as yet. If it’s the same for everyone I would guess its the programming, if its just me, H E L P, Very confused 😞

I am not sure why the listing would be showing collection if the SD option is selected. Have you had any other listing that went live with collection only after choosing SD on it?

Hi @kazgilb ,
This does seem strange to have the option on some listings and not others. Usually its two reasons why SD may not show and that is either the item is not eligible or your account might not be rolled into SD as of yet.
If you can provide some listings where SD is on the listings then along with your other examples I can give this as feedback.

Thank you for your post.
It may be the case here that your account hasn't been mandated into SD as of yet. They are still ramping accounts in. We don't have an exact timescale on it as its a gradual process. I'll feedback the examples given on this thread.

Seems really strange that there is no Simple Delivery option for kids shoes. I've just listed and sold some adult trainers with Simple Delivery, yet it's not an available option when listing kids shoes for some bizarre reason.

As time goes by I’m finding more and more categories that I can’t use Simple Delivery for. So far, it includes Trainers; Women’s Bags; and Kids Shoes. Strange how it is different for different people. You’d think if it was coding, it would be the same for everyone. It’s as if someone was tasked with ticking boxes and some have been missed. If I ever get a reply from ebay, I’ll let everyone know 🙂

I am getting this issue on every single listing.
Rather than simple delivery, it defaults to a collection option. I then have to select a specific postage rule. SD is not available anymore UNTIL I login via browser.
And it means every item e.g TV remote is being sent at the same price as a bigger parcel item like a toy car.
I hardly use the browser, I’m always using the app.
in addition, it’s defaulting all my listings to ‘no returns’ despite me taking returns.
I’ve not had any issues until about 2 weeks ago, it’s driving me bonkers!
