Simple Delivery Items Accepted At Post Office But Labels Won't Scan

On Saturday the 2nd I took an item to the post office and while the lady at the counter accepted the package, she said that ebay had an issue with their Simple Delivery Labels and that they weren't scanning. The package has been accepted at the post office and I have the tracking number on ebay from when ebay sent the label, but now it can't be tracked or delivery confirmed. When will ebay release funds for this item when delivery can't be confirmed?

Apparently a lot of ebay Simple Delivery Labelled items had been accepted at the post office that day that wouldn't scan.

If you paid for an alternative label, follow the instructions for updating the Tracking on a Simple Delivery package in Member-to-Member support.

If you left your unscanned package at the Post Office, then the question of what they plan to do with it is a question for them. You will have to return to sort it out with the PO directly.

Thank you for your reply.

At the time I went to the post office I was told that my item would send but that I wouldn't receive a receipt, so I left the parcel there thinking I was safe as ebay had provided the label and tracking. They did explain that there was an issue with Simple Delivery, but led me to believe it just meant they couldn't print a receipt, not that it couldn't be tracked.

I did go back to the post office this morning, after reading about the issues with Simple Delivery, but they had already let my parcel be collected.

I guess now all I can do is hope my buyer leaves feedback once they receive the item so that ebay can see that they have received it, and release my funds.
