Prepaid labels, voiding label & compensation

Hi,

I just sold my phone and the seller paid for the prepaid labels.

Say I post it and Royal Mail looses my parcel, the compensation doesn’t cover the price of the phone and release my payment.

i want to use a service that cover the cost, how do I void/cancel the prepaid labels if I already marked it as shipped (accidentally) and how does eBay know when the item has been sent and arrived?

thanks

I can't see anything sold on this account?

Do you mean the buyer paid for the label or that you did?

If the label is for eBay's 'Simple Delivery' then eBay provides compensation against loss or damage in transit up to £750.

If you choose not to use the Simple Delivery label then the cost of the label will be refunded.  The method differs depending on who paid for the label.  If the buyer paid then they will be automatically refunded within 30 days, however, if you paid (i.e. you offered free postage and buyer selected 'Standard delivery' not 'Express delivery') then you will need to request a refund manually using the following link:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller

If you don't use the prepaid labels provided then you will probably have to contact eBay to update the tracking.  Failing that payment should be released automatically 14 days after date of order.

If you need to contact eBay then you can use the following link to request a callback:
