Posting via R.Mail "free" collection

I have tried to get a "free" collection  from Royal Mail when buying postage through S.D.  No Way Jose!! Anyone find out, in simple instructions please, for a dinosaur user,  as to how one gets a "free" pick up.

BTW  at least the cost for books over 750 grams to 1KG is about the only PLUS  to this G Awful  S.D.!!
