Pretty sure I know the answer but would like to be corrected if I am wrong.
Country Lithuania, Ebay UK take tax. Parcel taken to local Post office counter who process the delivery including IOSS information, the tax taken is recorded electronically .
So if the parcel arrives in Lithuania and they ask for tax again, its either
A. Post Office counter have not recorded the information correctly
or
B. Lithuania customs have not processed correctly
If reading this if anyone knows how to
A. Check the Post Office transaction? Is it possible for the branch to check?
B. Email for Lituanian customs to ask why
thanks

If you are using eBay's Global Shipping Programme for international selling, the beauty of it is you don't have to worry about any of this as eBay sends the buyer an invoice with all the required details and charges. I just work out postage to a UK destination and choose the GSP option and, if a foreigner buys the item, I don't know what taxes or shipping they pay.

Thanks
Find the service a little slow for my buyers needs but admit it does take the headaches away

An alternative is to use RM Click and Drop.
IOSS is automatically added electronically when you buy your label online. You can print your customs label at the same time.
Not all Post Office staff are aware that they have to ask which online marketplace was used in order for IOSS to be added when you buy your label.

Because of a few Post Office processing issues this year I changed to RM Click and Drop this month,
My Lithuania issue was one of the last PO parcels I sent in November,
Decided to take responsibilty for Internationals, if it goes wrong admin wise its on me, not becasue someone innocently doesnt know.
Do find thw RM Click and Drop not that user frieindly, basic stuff like sender details abd payment details are not remembered which is a pain, (Mentioning in case Im doing something wrong)
Thanks

Ive come across Customs Value being entered at 0.01p (default) at rhe PO but I think this is a new one for me.
Is it possible for a PO branch to process the delivery without entering tax. So I hand over a green box with the word Ebay in yellow, I add the EBAY IOSS code on the label (just in case) and the completed CN22 with values.
Can a branch process it without entering the Ebay reference, so that when it arrives in Lithuania, electronically the information is just not there.
Hope you get where Im coming from

When the IOSS stuff was introduced, after we left the EU, i was working at the Post Office.
We were not properly trained in how to deal with items sold on various marketplaces so I assume that not all Post Office staff are properly trained to make sure your buyer doesn't pay tax.
So, yes, your item can be sent from the Post Office without the key details being entered.
That's why I use Click and Drop.
As long as you 'integrate your Ebay store' (I am a private seller without a store but it works for me), the RM site remembers all your details and imports all of your paid for Ebay sales.

Thanks, think I now know the answer to my Lithuania problem
I choose not to intergrate and I am mentioning in case I am wrong, but intergrating keeps the INR cases down and the late delivery at zero. Presuming supplying tracking effects the delivery rate.
