I dispatch items in 1 day, why is it set to 3 days for simple delivery, no option to change it ??
When you buy an item, I expect it asap, not having to wait 3 days for dispatch (not saying all do, but its the fact it will show this as standard)
Someone hasn't thought this out very well.

"When you buy an item, I expect it asap, not having to wait 3 days for dispatch".
That's ok if you are buying from a business seller (who is waiting with bated breath for your purchase), or for urgent medical stuff; but private sellers may not have access to a post office or courier on their doorstep nor an errandboy to send out to post it!
I had a 5 days disptach time on my listings cos you know things happen - People get ill, car problems, family emergencies. Now all my things are forced onto Simple Delivery and 2 days dispatch which I have just changed to 3 days. I usually post next day but with eBay punishing sellers for missing dispatch times - at least with 5 days (which I have never had to resort to thankfully) I had a safety window which has now been removed despite this site not having the item to sell. My dispatch record has remained at 5* for months!
It used to be a good (and fun) place to buy and sell. Sadly it is getting to be not that way now!

Totally agree. The enforced 3 day maximum turnaround is unrealistic for the average private seller - with jobs, commutes and family responsibilities. One of the many reasons why I am no longer a private seller.

Is there any other option?

You can change it if you like to 1 day
under the postage where it says delivery details
(using screenshots from the app on iPad but it’s the same on browser version)

Doesn't look like it. Totally unreasonable for a private seller. I'm going away for 4 nights from tomorrow and I can't take the items I have for sale with me so there's no way I could dispatch within 3 days if one of them sells during the week. I've had to put in the description that I will be away this week and will dispatch on Saturday morning if an item sells but it could still damage my 100% positive rating.

You can arrange time away so all your item pages show a delay in despatch times.

Thanks - can you tell me where I find that?

Not as far as I can see, which is why I don't sell any more. Some people have marked all their listings as Collection only and added messages to say if you can't collect, message me and we can arrange an alternative. (Their advertised price includes postage). Seems like too much hassle for me, and if I see 'collection only' I never bother to read the rest of the listing.
I do not want to use SD. It's not just the lack of control as to who I use to send my goods out, and the faffing around with printers and QR codes, but it's all the other ambiguity that surrounds it, such as what is covered and what isn't, what happens when there are returns or other problems etc etc. Looking at some of the problems private sellers are having on other threads and the horrendous reviews on Trustpilot, (20k reviews average 1 star) tells me that I just don't need the hassle.

I'm using a tablet and from my selling overview page it's under quick links at the bottom of the page.

If using the seller hub, go to overview and it's the bottom headline under selling tools.

Great, thanks, found it and set a time away but when I look at the listing it gives no indication of it for prospective buyers.

Is your time away set from now? I have looked and you're right it isn't showing on your listings.

No, it's tomorrow so I guess that's why, thanks.
