Buyer used own postage - MAKE MORE OBVIOUS!

I've just sold an item and instinctively went through my own postage app, linked to eBay and have dispatched the item. I've only just realised that the buyer used their own postage when I went to make as dispatched, but couldn't.

Ebay need to make this more obvious as it wasn't clear from the selling details that the buyer had paid for their own postage. I'm not wondering how many times I've done this in the past! Aside from being a few pounds out of pocket, the item won't have the relevant tracking details.

Sort it out Ebay!

Without tracking the money will be released after 14 days but you can contact ebay and ask them to change the tracking number if you like.  You can use callback on here:

Re: Buyer used own postage - MAKE MORE OBVIOUS!

Thanks. I have tracking details, and the wait for funds isn't an issue, it's just that I don't think it's very clear when a buyer has purchased their own postage. I didn't even realise it was a thing. I've checked my emails and eBay could defiantly make this clearer to avoid me being out of pocket.

Otherwise, I've messaged the buyer to explain.

Your last item (AOD) was listed with eBay Simple Delivery where the buyer pays eBay for the postage and you are sent a link to get the label or QR code, you can opt out of simple delivery when you are listing your items, select custom /advanced potage then the servicve you want.

Your previous sales did not have simple delivery and the payment you received included your postage charge.
