buyer to collect item in person where to find 6 digit collection confirmation code

Buyer coming to collect  item in person.   He has paid  for item . Where do we find 6 digit collection confirmation code ? Does he need to give me the code before i let him take the item ? So i can collect the funds. Any help appreciated .

Yes, the buyer receives a code in an email and gives it to you when they collect.   Remind them of that before they come.
