My account has been suspended, with all products delivered, yet all of my funds are on hold (around £500)
I spoke to eBay, and I was told I'd have to wait '170 days or more' to receive my funds. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you get your funds eventually? And does anyone have any advice on how to tackle this situation?
Thank you in advance

Just to confirm, A fully suspended account will get paid in “ 170 days “ / at some point and a restricted account won’t get paid and the money will be kept forever until you send whatever they are asking for and make them suspend it then the 170 days starts right. They can’t keep the funds forever?
Also the 1st july , 1st oct etc is so random now as like 3 of my accounts got auto payout and the rest didn’t but in April all of my accounts 100% got the payout so don’t know if they have made some changes or what lol

Did you have to contact them for it? Or did it just auto send to your bank

This thread is mainly posts from members whose accounts have been permanently suspended - which means they lose their ability to sell on Ebay ever again -and how long Ebay took to release funds after such a suspension (which is effectively a ban).
Your experience seems different as you still have live listings and have recent sales, from this month.
Clearly, you were not permanently suspended and, although Ebay held your payments for 14 months, you are still happily selling on the site,

I'd speak to a solicitor

Hello,
The same situation happened to me yesterday. I recently switched to a business account in order to sell some items that are not permitted under a personal account. Yesterday, I received an order for one of these items. However, due to the high transaction fees, I canceled the order with the buyer’s confirmation and issued a full refund.
Later, I received an email from eBay stating that my account has been permanently suspended. As a result, I can no longer access my available balance.
Currently, I can still see my balance under the "Total Funds" section. In the "Transaction Activity" section, I also see that for the canceled order it says:
"Processing: to be completed on 23 Jul."
I spoke with customer service and was informed again that my account is permanently suspended.
Could you please let me know when I will be able to withdraw my remaining balance?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,

The next automatic balance is Oct 1st if you don't get it on that date then it would be 170 days from when you got suspended but make sure the account is fully suspended and not just restricted

Yeah can’t do anything until 170 days has been , don’t have high hopes though 😞

Why wait 170 days? For what reason?

Did you ever receive your funds? I am currently in a similar position.

I was in a similar situation, until my account was permanently banned, I'm out £350 until I can "appeal" this bs but atm I don't think they really care

Have they told you to wait 180 days? If so did you get paid after

It's been more than 180 days for my friend's accounts now. He tried calling them multiple times only to hear excuses at first, then one day one of the representatives told him the management has decided not to release his funds.
His accounts were permanently banned in December 2024. They should've been released by July which they refused they ever will.
He'll now be filing a small court claim against eBay as it makes no sense for them to just 'steal' your money after the 180 days of fulfilling every disputes in favor of the buyers & fees etc.

How is this possible? How can eBay keep someone’s money? If they have already closed the account, will they now just keep people’s money?
Is there any law or not? How can legal action be taken against them?
It seems like eBay has started running a lawless system.
Will they just hold millions of dollars from people like this, telling different sellers that they won’t get their money?
Isn’t this outright wrongdoing?
Which law allows them to do this?
