i HAVE USED EBAY FOR AROUND 30 YEARS around 20 years with my current details and previously in the early days around 10 years with different sign in name which incorporated a house name from which we moved!
Anyway as from now I have ceased to use Ebay as I do not agree with the NEW!! payment system
Nothing leaves my premises until it is paid for, thats a similar system that the retail trade uses isnt it??
One does not enter a shop and select what they wish to purchase, tell the shopkeaper I will send you the payment in a few days time and leave with the goods.
I have spoken to other eBay users I know all of whom are totally against this system and will not be selling!
EBAY you need to wake up quickly and sort out this matter!

You can upgrade to a business seller , then the new rules do not apply, only snag fees are much higher.

Actually that's exactly what happens for any retailer when a buyer pays by credit or debit card.
In ebay's case the buyer has paid, it's you that has not received the funds, and there is absolutely no reason why you would not get the funds from ebay (bar money back guarantee claims of course).
By all means leave ebay to those that actually understand the changes and can adapt to them. .

You can not " trade" as a business if you are not trading as a business!
If there is no " business"...there is no trade!
Personal items, at whatever amount is not "trading!"
Edit - spelling...

The point is we shouldn't have to just "live with it",
The idea of a change by such a big company is to provide a positive and pleasant experience for its users... not to take something that was really good away and replace it with something not so good. I.E, PayPal was good and provided fast instant payments for sellers and another layer of security for both buyer and seller... now it seems eBay have ditched PayPal in favour of slower payments and less buyer and seller protection ! - Anyone can see that this is a 100% downgrade.
Remember not everyone is financially secure with tons of "reserve money" in their bank... so all this waiting around for money from eBay can now make things hard for people who are less well off and in some cases this now puts people off from selling through eBay as the whole point of selling something on line is to GENERATE MONEY QUICKLY to buy something else maybe from eBay or another place or to pay a bill like rent or council tax which must be paid by a certain date. So delayed payment does not work well at all for this kind of situation.
eBay really need to have more consideration instead of just looking at the bigger part of the picture.

That's disgusting.
So even as a proper registered business seller, there are still no advantages in having quicker payments.
The only advantage is you can still opt out of eBay's new "Managed Delivery" nonsense... but for how long before they start forcing this on business accounts is unknown as eBay is constantly chipping away bit by bit... to rake in as much money as they can to support their failing business due to more other similar selling sites now being available...

Have you set your pay-out to daily, weekly or monthly?
Sounds like monthly to me.

There allot of things that can happen to why its not available until 20th.
Best to ask CS you can get them to ring they can access your account and give some answers as to why .

Ebay has reasons for holding payments that also apply to business sellers. It's not a given that just because you now have a business account all your funds will clear immediately.
