Verify bank account help

Please help as you can not get any from eBay, it held my payments stating I need to verify my bank details, ok, I’ve been a member from the beginning and had the same account for all of it! Never had a problem so I followed what it asked of me ie the micro payments and I waited and waited and no payments were made to my account this went on for over a week and I wanted my money but it now wouldn’t let me use another option, I gave it another few days and just entered some random amounts to see it it would offer me an alternative method, this seemed to work so I tried uploading a copy of my bank statement with the amounts blocked out, I don’t see why they should know what’s in my account?.. this seemed to go through then a week later I get the same request again, sent the statement and the same thing happened again, so this time I uploaded the file direct, I now don’t care what they see as I want my money but it said the file was too small!!…. So I’ve tried sending the blacked out screen shot of my statement again, it says they have it and it’s being reviewed, this is the third time now, oh and to add insult to injury the micro payments came through two weeks after requested.. how do I sort this out, they are holding a fair lump of money and it won’t even let me use it to buy? HELP

Hi em21pony, thanks for your post.

A few things on this one, the first one is that if you enter random amount in the micro deposit field, you will fail verification. One of the reasons why we ask you to verify your bank details is to make sure the bank details entered are correct to prevent funds from being sent to wrong bank accounts. While it can take a while for them to hit your account, we recommend being patient and wait for them. If you don't receive them maybe it is because the bank details were incorrect. Another thing is that when uploading bank statements, if you alter the bank statement by covering any information on it, it automatically voids the entire document as we cannot longer confirm if the document has been altered in full or not. Also, screenshots are not allowed, it has to be a valid file as per the request.

At this stage to make sure everything goes well, I'd recommend re-entering your bank account details, so that can reset the verification process and that time wait for the micro deposits that you receive, or upload a valid bank statement, so your bank can be verified.
