Ebay delays money appearing in balance as long as possible

Anyone else noticed that in the past you were able to withdraw your money at midnight but now there is still no money in the morning on the day of pay? It really makes me believe that it is all to do with benefiting from interest on the money held as much as possible.

There is no more... ' the day of pay'.  Your  payouts have had a dramatic change.  Money from sales,  need to be manually withdrawn when they are showing Available in your Payment Summary.  When withdrawn into your bank account it depends how quick they are to process that payment,  some are faster than others.

With Buyer Protection Fees which came in last month,  tracking on your items showing delivery,  will release your payout 2 days after that delivery date.

With no tracking,  your payouts are held for 14 days.

If you sell items under the value of £25,  then if the buyer leaves feedback,  this will release the payout sooner.

Re: Ebay delays money appearing in balance as long as possible

I spoke to eBay yesterday (23-4-25) and was told clearly that feedback will not change when payments are made. I've sold items with RM tracking but the tracking only shows due to be updated when delivery is made (or words to that effect), and yet feedback has been posted so the buyer has obviously received the item!

RM tracking is evidently flawed but eBay will not release my money until the tracking reads 'delivered'. It's like a legal scam.

It's now published policy that for items under £25 feedback will release the payment.

Why under £25? What's so frightening about items of higher value? Another stupid policy.

I find it really frustrating that pending payments due to be available on a certain day are now released in dribs and drabs at random times throughout the day, rather than soon after midnight.

Currently waiting for three pending payments due to be available today, and not one has cleared!

Re: Ebay delays money appearing in balance as long as possible

eBay is now run by a load of scammers, I did the same as you to start selling as a shop starting as a new business, using eBay as a trusted source a world wide company that it perceives to be. It seems it only wants traders that are larger than small businesses

For reasons only known to eBay! WHAT A JOKE my seller account is permanently  excluded and am not able to trade, yet I can still upload items to make sales! This is so eBay can withhold the funds to make interest off your earnings!! It’s disgusting  and legalised  theft!!

Save your hard earned cash and hassle and trust Amazon or Etsy or any other selling platform.

EBay puts itself on a pedestal only interested in well established businesses for easy money, eBay forgets they once started as a sole trader and lucky for them made it big, shame on you eBay for not giving the same to the vase majority!!
