Anyone else noticed that in the past you were able to withdraw your money at midnight but now there is still no money in the morning on the day of pay? It really makes me believe that it is all to do with benefiting from interest on the money held as much as possible.

There is no more... ' the day of pay'. Your payouts have had a dramatic change. Money from sales, need to be manually withdrawn when they are showing Available in your Payment Summary. When withdrawn into your bank account it depends how quick they are to process that payment, some are faster than others.
With Buyer Protection Fees which came in last month, tracking on your items showing delivery, will release your payout 2 days after that delivery date.
With no tracking, your payouts are held for 14 days.
If you sell items under the value of £25, then if the buyer leaves feedback, this will release the payout sooner.
See here Buyer Protection Fees explained:

I spoke to eBay yesterday (23-4-25) and was told clearly that feedback will not change when payments are made. I've sold items with RM tracking but the tracking only shows due to be updated when delivery is made (or words to that effect), and yet feedback has been posted so the buyer has obviously received the item!
RM tracking is evidently flawed but eBay will not release my money until the tracking reads 'delivered'. It's like a legal scam.

It's now published policy that for items under £25 feedback will release the payment.

Why under £25? What's so frightening about items of higher value? Another stupid policy.

I find it really frustrating that pending payments due to be available on a certain day are now released in dribs and drabs at random times throughout the day, rather than soon after midnight.
Currently waiting for three pending payments due to be available today, and not one has cleared!

eBay is now run by a load of scammers, I did the same as you to start selling as a shop starting as a new business, using eBay as a trusted source a world wide company that it perceives to be. It seems it only wants traders that are larger than small businesses
For reasons only known to eBay! WHAT A JOKE my seller account is permanently excluded and am not able to trade, yet I can still upload items to make sales! This is so eBay can withhold the funds to make interest off your earnings!! It’s disgusting and legalised theft!!
Save your hard earned cash and hassle and trust Amazon or Etsy or any other selling platform.
EBay puts itself on a pedestal only interested in well established businesses for easy money, eBay forgets they once started as a sole trader and lucky for them made it big, shame on you eBay for not giving the same to the vase majority!!

Yes I have noticed the same thing sometimes not available until nearly midday sometimes on day it's available

Sold item, posted via simple delivery and shows delivered Monday 28 July. EBay says payment will clear in my balance Thursday 31 July. So not the 2 days as is supposed to be if using their simpleton delivery.

Be interesting when the new payment times come in on August 6th wonder if people that meet the criteria will their money within 24 hours

I am still waiting for funds to become available today for items delivered on Saturday. Chatted with Ebay (not much help (and they siad for some strange reason it is 3 days from confirmed receipt not sure where that has come from) and bee nasked to wait for the rest of the day.
Wonder what will hapen once the new "Within 24 hours of buyer paying"

Still waiting for my money over 36 hours after buyer paid. My funds are supposed to be available today but no sign yet.

I read with interest the following:
Your sales proceeds will show as Pending in the Payments tab in Seller Hub before becoming available. Funds typically become available in your eBay balance 2 days after delivery, or within 24 hours of buyer payment once eligibility criteria are met.
Now, I meet the eligibility criteria (having checked it by clicking the link) but nobody has contacted me to tell me this.
I say this as I sold an item and it was delivered on 5th August @ 12.11pm - the money was not in my Ebay Balance today and it's not 19.13hrs. I spoke with an Ebay rep and he said (after disappearing for almost ten mins) that it would be "today" so I confirmed "before midnight"? and he said "yes" - so we shall see.
I am considering opening a business account with Ebay as the opportunity is there for me, but recent issues mean that I'm considering my options carefully, and that includes throwing Amazon in the mix.
I'll send them a message tomorrow asking for me to be added to the "24 hour payout" sellers so that I get paid within that time frame once I've been paid.... if that happens (and I maintain my 100% Positive Feedback) then it could be a deal clincher.

My balance was 31£ something a few hours ago now it’s zero for some reason
i haven’t paid for any labels eg out of funds
I’ve refunded one order but that was not £31 it was £15
i dont really care what it says as long as I get my funds which should be in 24 hours after buyers paid
Glitchy glitches I expect

Ebay business is not worth the hassle. Personally I would go to Amazon instead.

Unsure what happened but I now get paid 24hours after being paid regardless of delivery confirmation etc, something to do with my good standing as a seller etc.

Yep, those are the new payout rules which came in on the 6th August. For the full announcement go top left of this forum to eBay >> New Announcement.
Basically, if you have had no defects in the last 12 months and sales of £150 or more combined, in the last 5 years, then after a buyer pays, your payout is released within 24 hours.
A welcome change !

Heya, yes, I was getting myself messed up with something else (hangover day haha)
I DID get the notification about this, and two items sold yesterday (Sunday) 7pm, and I'm just listing something else on there this morning (6.55am) and both items money is in my Ebay balance.. so ... the system works and no more hanging around for the money!!
I think it's a good idea, it incentivises people to sell well and get a good standing, then they can get their money more quickly. Too many bad sellers who do get away with it.
Anyway, all is good 🙂
Cheers.

Good to hear its' working and I agree, instant payment only available for those with a good standing account, bad seller will still have to wait, one of eBay's good ideas! 🤗
