Increase in non-payers

Has anybody else experienced an increase in non-paying peeps ... Ebay should let sellers leave negative feedback in these cases?

Increase in non-payers

eBay will never allow back the ability to leave negatives for buyers which stopped many years ago.  It just became tit for tat,  and name calling and some sellers even ' blackmailing' buyers to change negative feedback or they would leave worse.  It helped no one.

Also,  with the majority of sellers selling in a Buy it Now format,  there's be no time to read any ' warning' feedback message, before that non payer came to them to buy.

Unfortunately,  some sellers do not use the tools that eBay provide that is,  they do not open unpaid item cases  which give those buyers deserved non payment strikes.  2 and they cannot buy from the majority of sellers for a full 12 months , more and eBay will remove them permanently from their site.

Cases work,  feedback even if allowed,  would not.

Ebay won't do this? Ebay won't do that? Same old same old ... Meanwhile the site goes down the drain? I think what the poster was saying (and it's crucial for sellers messed about by non-paying buyers) Why not bring back negative feedback strictly for non-payers (not a general tit for tat - to quote your take on it) surely that can be administered and is warranted??? ... Then again, Ebay aren't interested in messing with buyers because they can work on the asumption that maybe 1 in 5 might be payed for and ebay dont want to miss out on the profits from that ... only the sellers are put out (and we all know what ebay think of sellers???).

Nope,  not my take on it,  as you state, but eBay's.

Whilst I fully understand the wish to leave  ' helpful' feedback something like....  ' Avoid this non payer' ,  it just won't help those who list in a Buy it Now format , there's  just no time to read that well meaning feedback  (yep it's not all tit for tat!),  so if feedback was allowed , the non payer is still left on eBay carrying on buying and not paying.

Many sellers leave a neg now for buyers, if not reported it remains, but it does no harm to that non payer, and many  sellers leave that feedback, but do not then open those vital cases.

Feedback would not help.

Non payment cases do, sellers setting Site Prefs to stop 2 strike non payers from buying, and if those strikes mount eBay do remove those buyers permanently.
