Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

If you purchase a Parcelforce label on eBay then it isn't through Packlink.  EBay has a separate agreement with Parcelforce and Royal Mail.

The price you pay on eBay should be less than going direct, not more, as Parcelforce provide discounted rates to eBay as part of the agreement.  Can you provide some examples?

The standard compensation included does vary depending on how you purchase the postage.

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

One huge disadvantage to PackLink is couriers like DPD will not allow the seller to raise questions about failed deliveries/returns as the contract is with PackLink.  So attempts to find out (eg) why a delivery has failed will get bounced back by DPD.

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

Yes, couriers using the excuse that any claim has to be made by the sender, or deemed sender, in order to get out of investigating is a common problem both for sellers using postage brokers such as Packlink and for buyers.  It really shouldn't be the case as  investigating something is not the same as making an actual claim.

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

Its their so called audits that get me... claiming a bottle of prime drink weighed 1.24kg... bottle of prime = 500ml (500grams).

Bottle is - say 30g

Postage label, tape and packaging = worse case scenario, 150 grams.

Total = 680grams. Pull the other one packlink.

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

As Always it takes someone to put themselves out and take them to the small claims court..But next to no one does.

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

Couldn't agree more - they're refusing to get me compensation for a parcel Evri lost.  Evri were terrible too, but evetually created an incident number for the lost parcel, but Parcellink just refuse to process the claim as I'm now beyond the 30 day limit to make a claim (even though I started it well before 30 days)!

They use any excuse not to help, even though it;s not them who would be paying out...it would be Evri!

TOTAL SCAMMERS!

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

Used the link in eBay - Next day DPD. Dropped parcel off at shop with another item I shipped with DPD direct.
The following day both parcels showed as collected. The Packlink packet went missing straight away, the direct sale parcel was delivered within 24 hours.
You can’t just call Packlink, it has to be by email. This company should not exist when we have direct consumer level access to the delivery giants.

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

I’ve reported them to BBC Watchdog Program.

Packlink, and “middlemen” companies like them, should not exist in a world when consumers can buy direct with the courier company’s.

EBay are as much to blame for allowing this to go on on their platform!!

Re: DO NOT USE PACKLINK

We don’t need a middle man when we can buy direct from DPD, EVRI, RM etc.

This is a company purposely set up to rip people off.

I’ve reported them to BBC Watchdog and if they investigate this company and find no wrong doing, I’ll eat my hat!
