I have sent an item to Australia, it has arrived at the  post office in the town where the buyer it, its been there for a few days. I have told the buyer it is there, but until he collects it I'm not getting paid for the high value item.  How is that far.

That definitely seems frustrating! The system where the seller doesn't get paid until the buyer collects the item can feel a bit unfair, especially when you've done everything on your end to make sure the item arrived safely and the buyer has been notified.

This kind of system is in place to protect both buyers and sellers, ensuring the buyer is satisfied and the transaction is completed properly. However, it can be annoying if a buyer doesn't pick up the item in a timely manner, especially with high-value items where you're eager to get paid.

You might want to follow up with the buyer once more to ensure they are aware of the situation and gently encourage them to collect the item. If it's taking too long, you could also reach out to the platform you're selling on to explain the delay and see if there's any way they can help move things along. i think
