postage labels

I offer free postage. A buyer has bought two of my items so I can put both into one parcel and it's still a small parcel. If I use just one label that eBay has provided, how will tracking work? Will just one of the items be tracked? Thank you for any help.

Re: postage labels

Ideally it's best to cancel/refund them and relist in one listing with one postage for the buyer to buy again.  You do that from the dropdown menu for the items on your orders list.

An alternative would be to send them together anyway and try to change the tracking at View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow.  That has to be done on a desktop browser but it's not always possible.  If not, one of the items won't be tracked.  You would still receive payment for the untracked one after 14 days.

Re: postage labels

Many thanks for your reply.
The buyer didn't pay for postage as it was freepost and I hoped I wouldn't
be charged for two parcels.
I used one label and have seen on my eBay page that there's the same
tracking number for both items so I think it's ok and that they've somehow
adjusted things.
Learning all the time!
Thanks again

Re: postage labels

Yes, we're all still learning.   That sounds fine.    Combining works OK (usually) if buyer buys the items in the one transaction.
