eBay are removing Feedback.

I received my Baofeng RM-5 2 Way Radio/Walkie-Talkie that was not as described as it was described as New but was Faulty, I left a Negative Feedback review for the sellers misinformation about the product I purchased, All  I said "Had to Return as the Item was Faulty "No Sound", then I see that my review has been removed by eBay, as a result since eBay are removing Negative reviews how can we trust to shop with eBay.

Mentioning disputes or "returns" in feedback can get fb removed.

All down to wording for the most part.

Re: eBay are removing Feedback.

Sounds like you can only give positive feedback on eBay, despite getting a faulty item and having to return it, T.B.H eBay sucks, as Not only did I get a refund or replacement, again they remove my feedback, if this was say a shop or department store, you can leave a Negative Feedback and they will accept it and try and improve things.

It isn't allowed to mention eBay being involved in a return, but it's never been against the rules simply to mention returning an item.

We're seeing a lot of questions that seem to arise from eBay's increasing use of AI. Or in eBay's case, artificial unintelligence. My guess is that eBay leaves it to a badly written computer algorithm to scan feedbacks for compliance.

To add to what has been said, you can look at all the reasons feedback might be removed at the seller's request here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/feedback-policies/feedback-policy?id=4208&st=3&pos=2&query=Feed...

You will see that Ebay now agree to remove feedback where a return was opened and handled in a satisfactory way.  So, if you get your refund without Ebay having to step in, the seller can ask for feedback to be removed.  Not everybody will agree, but, personally, I think that is fair.

eBay site or programme issues

We remove neutral/negative feedback when:

'An eBay Money Back Guarantee case or payment dispute was closed with the seller having met their obligations to the buyer'

"Sounds like you can only give positive feedback on eBay, "

If that were true then your other non-positive feedback would have been removed.

Re: eBay are removing Feedback.

If this is the case how do you leaved feedback to warn others of any issues, as for refund that would be the day as I have not received it, to me it seems one way if things go wrong you leave feedback to warn others, and the it het removed by eBay, why bother. and to rub salt into the wound I received a email from eBay asking me to "Please provide Feedback for your eBay items" which I did but then they deleted it.

Re: eBay are removing Feedback.

You suggested the issue WAS resolved by the seller 'Not only did I get a refund or replacement' ...

If you did not get a refund, then the question has to be asked, why not?

Did you return the item within 30 days through an Ebay case?

Did you ask Ebay to step in?  48 hours after tracking shows the seller has the item back, the option to ask Ebay to step in and force the seller to refund becomes available.
