eBay: Why is my selling page littered with sponsored adverts and listings from other sellers?

I am paying a monthly subscription for an eBay Shop and I think I have the right to have my listing pages restricted to my item for sale, not littered with sponsored ads and promoted listings from other sellers who may be in competition with me. It also confuses customers who may not be able to differentiate between my carefully composed listing page and all the other *bleep* that breaks up the format.  Would eBay care to comment?
