eBay Global Shipping Program Removed for Private Sellers?

Hi everyone 🙂

Buyer in Alaska wishes to purchase £1000 item from me. No matter what I do, I cannot get eBay GSP to show on the listing! I'm enrolled in GSP, USA is included as postage location, but in place of GSP badge and price, its just showing " Will post to the United States. Read item description or contact seller for postage options."

eBay CS just gave instructions to arrange postage outside of GSP, but due to item value, I don't want to take any chances with the customs or postage...

I sold to USA via GSP just last week without issue and used "sell similar" to create this listing, so settings should theoretically remain the same, surely?

After searching for listings from other sellers, have noted on private sellers it says "postage not specified", whereas opening listings they say the same as me, whereas business sellers it still shows the GSP badge and cost.

Is this a settings issue, a glitch or has eBay removed GSP for private sellers?

Did you enroll before listing?

Item may be too big or heavy for GSP.

Alaska I fear won’t be covered by gsp as technically it’s classed as a semi exclave to the USA.

gsp only covers main USA so Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Marshall Islands etc are excluded.

it’s nothing to do with being a private seller.

Thank you, yes I enrolled - has eBay CS check settings this morning and no issues they can see on my side.

Thank you - buyer can see other saddles via GSP available to them from business sellers. I completed a GSP order from elsewhere in USA for my other saddle last week without issue.

Another eBay friend reports same issue for a much smaller item (large letter size), value £4.50 with Canadian buyer. They could see item as GSP on Saturday, but today "seller does not post to your location", nothing has changed with the listing.

There is a current issue with GSP which ebay are aware of.

Can confirm adding an address in buyers location and heading to checkout for item from same category from a business seller looks absolutely fine, all private seller items give the same message:

"Unfortunately, this seller won't send to your location. Please update your delivery addres or contact the seller to request order total."

eBay CS live chat have just advised ongoing issue. Have had messages from other eBayers reporting same issue as far back as last Thurs.
