Why no information or reason as to why purchases are not delivered. My last two purchases from different sellers 1 using YODEL and the other using EVRI. Both the items reached their hubs. Then received message of a delay. after several days of no update I contacted the sellers via Ebay stating I still wanted the items. The next day I received an email stating I was getting a refund of my purchace but not given any information as to why they weren't delivered. So is it worth it to continue to buy on Ebay if the purchases are not going to be delivered and being left in the dark as to why!

eBay are a selling platform so they will have no idea why Evri or Yodel have not delivered your items.  Thankfully under eBay's 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee , you have received those full refunds.

Frustrating I agree, but why items never leave a courier's hub , becomes lost is anybody's guess, you may never receive an answer.

Agreed that I got the refunds but it seems the items were not lost as with YODEL because as soon as I got the notice from Ebay saying I was going to be refunded the tracking showed the item was returned to the seller. Regarding the one from EVRI, the seller ask if I wanted my prchace reshipped which I agreed to but asked to check if the item was lost or not delivered for another reason. The very next day Ebay said they were refunding me. Without any reason why they were not delivered, is the same thing going to happen if I order the same thing from another seller.

Disregard the notification ' item is being returned to seller',   this is some weird technical issue, many are receiving,  and it does not necessarily mean the item is being returned.

Many receiving this message, have found the item has actually reached the buyer.

Maybe some couriers are being overwhelmed with the number of Simple Delivery items they need to handle on top of the busiest time of the year for them the Christmas period. 

Frustrating for both parties,  sellers and buyers alike,  not ideal I agree! 😶

I understand what you are saying, but surely the seller would have contacted the delivery company when the buyer has reported it hadn't been delivered. Surely an explanation would have been given. The seller could then have passed that to the buyer so it doesn't discourage a return buyer ie loss of trade.

Sellers have reported back to Evri / DHL ,   and have received I believe a message that's it's been an error.

There is a weekly chat on Wednesday at 2 p.m. on the forum with eBay Community managers,  and a manager reported this line....

'  DHL are experiencing higher volumes than usual and are working on this to improve the service level. '

Seems the sheer volume imposed on the few couriers eBay have selected for Simple Delivery are just not handling the number, therefore sending messages ' item being returned to seller' and as said,  they're not in some cases.

  Other couriers are slowly being added, hopefully this will help ? 

Christmas is on our doorsteps,  what can I say,  brace yourself for more of the above ! 🙄

That's all very well but on both occasions when contacting the seller that I had not received the item, I clicked on the  I still want the item, obviously meaning I was prepared to wait. I did not ask for a refund but shortly after I received a message from Ebay saying I was being refunded. I understand there can be delays in deliveries but it seems rather quick to be given a refund when I was prepared to wait a bit longer.
