Onboarding

Hello

I am in the process of onboarding and have a question. I have got to the payout information, and it says

"Link a bank account so you can get paid. We also need this info so we can debit any amounts you owe, confirm your identity and comply with applicable regulations"

I have questions.

  • I'm the one that is registering the account but I am not listed on with the bank account (I have a letter of authority from a trustee). Will eBay reject our non-profit account due to this?

Many thanks,

Connor

Amost certainly, yes.   eBay's system is automatic and won't deal with anything irregular.

What are you planning to sell?

How will the items you are selling be sourced?

Private accounts are for individuals selling their own unwanted items.

You may need a business account linked to the organisation you are selling for and could then link the organisation's bank account to the selling account you are setting up on their behalf.

Hi

We are signing up to a non-profit account.

Sorry should have added this.

Does that mean you will be selling on behalf of an unregistered charity?

If that is the case, you do need a business account.
