Tracking Shows “Delivered” but Not My Address — Case Closed, What Now?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice because I’m really stuck.

I opened a case for an item that never arrived. Royal Mail tracking shows it as “delivered”, but the delivery photo is not my address — the door, frame, bricks, and even the doorbell in the photo are completely different from mine.

I provided eBay with photos of my actual door and explained that I was home at the time, no delivery was attempted, and no neighbour received anything. Despite this, eBay closed my case and refused to help any further.

The seller has also refused to assist and told me only they can contact Royal Mail, but they haven’t done so.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? What are my options now? Should I pursue Royal Mail, my bank, or reopen the case somehow?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You cannot reopen the eBay case once close,  and close it will , if eBay have received tracking to show delivery,  photos do not play a case in any eBay case.

Have you spoken to your postie?  Wait for their next delivery and ask him / her where or with whom they left the item.  Have you asked your neighbours ?

If unsuccessful,  try your payment provider now,  for help with your refund.
