Hi, an item I purchased, the seller has removed the item so I can't provide feedback and they've done this to avoid negative feedback.
The item was listed as unopened but the boxes were all taped closed so they had clearly been opened. The boxes were not packaged properly so they also arrived damaged and they also arrived late. I've looked at contacting eBay since all links to the item have disappeared, what is the best way to go about contacting them? I don't know if it's to report the seller, the item under returns etc. it's very confusing, any advice please?

Check on a laptop/desk top if possible. If the item is there and it's still within 30 days of the delivery date start a return on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041
select "Doesn't match description" and escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Sellers cannot remove links to listings but they will disappear from ordinary view after 90 days. At that time it's too late to leave feedback.
If it's not that long ago it could be that ebay have removed the item and possibly suspended the seller. If so you won't be able to start a return on ebay, you'd have to contact your payment provider about getting a refund.

Hi, that's interesting thank you.
The item link had disappeared before it had even been delivered but I can still see the seller and other listings they have so that's a bit confusing?
If I tap on the item it no longer exists, luckily I have the item number from my email conformation. Would I be best reporting the seller or about the item to say about refunds?

Thank you!
I can see it says eBay removed it for a policy violation!
I've opened a return request, it says the seller doesn't accept returns (hardly shocking), so I'll follow this route first and then I'll escalate if there is no resolution. Thank you for your help

Sellers can only refuse "change of mind" returns. You should get your money back.

They tried to offer me £10, so I escalated the case when they then asked for a return. The item isn't fit for resale and they'll just list another violation anyway.
I went onto the chat assistant and even though it's automated, it found the item straight away and said do not return it and a full refund will be issued! I'm quite surprised!

ebay do sometimes issue a refund without return if the seller isn't initially co-operative. Good result. 🙂
