As the title says - I'm being prompted to pay for two items that I won. I bid on them knowing that the seller would provide postage discount (as mentioned in the auction description). I have no option of contacting him and trying to use eBay chat does not lead to a conversation with an agent, only gives me useless advice.

There is currently an issue, that is, sellers are Not being able to send revised invoices to show combined postage.
The workaround sellers are using, is for the buyer to buy for all items, then the seller makes a partial refund.
There's no knowing if this seller will do this, as partial refunds cannot be enforced.
To be fair , I'd imagine some sellers do not know they cannot combine postage and unless they know where to find us here, or how to contact CS for help, they may not know how to proceed and there lies a possible problem.

At the moment, across the UK site, sellers are not able to send invoices at all and can't send invoices combining postage.
If you can't contact the seller, you can either not pay and risk unpaid item strikes or pay and hope that the seller will send the items together and refund your excess postage.
If the seller is using Ebay's new Simple Delivery, the money you pay for postage will go directly to Ebay and not be paid to the seller at all so sellers may not be in a position to give refunds/discounts for multiple purchases.
It is all a bit of a mess, but not your seller's fault.
