Seller advertis s 5 year warranty, but refuses to confirm this
Has a clear 5 year warranty logo bit despite repeated enquiries the seller simply says after 30 days contact me and I'll sort it out, I specifically asked how the 5 year warranty works but no comment on this

Any warranty is only as good as your ability to enforce it.
If this seller is already being cagey, walk away and find a better seller.

eBay cannot enforce any guarantees on items other than that which is covered in their 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy.
Receive a faulty/ item not as described within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery, and you are guaranteed a full refund.
When that period lapses as @jckl1957 correctly states, it's between you and the seller to be able to go forward and enforce any seller's guarantee.

Not asking eBay to enforce any guarantee, but I didn't feel that with the massive amount of money eBay makes from customers, they could do more than the standard 30 day limit. But it's the apparent lie in the listing, stating 5 year warranty but unwilling to confirm this, should be a way to report a listing giving the reasons, be so handy

You can use this link to report the seller, unless they are reported ebay or others wont know about the issue. It can be done from here (its about half way down the page a blue block saying report seller, click on it and follow instructions.

If you bought from UK business seller.
You still have consumer rights, but ebay won't help with them.

adding to the advice already given -
although the item you purchased was from UK stock the seller is registered in Hong Kong.

I purchased an electrical office machine from a business on eBay.
After 2 months there was a fault, I checked with the Seller who informed me there was a 2-year guarantee, but I must contact the Manufacturer after 30 days, which I did. The item's Manufacturer sent out a new machine within 2 days and collected the faulty one.
