Seller advertis s 5 year warranty, but refuses to confirm this

Has a clear 5 year warranty logo bit despite repeated enquiries the seller simply says after 30 days contact me and I'll sort it out, I specifically asked how the 5 year warranty works but no comment on this

Any warranty is only as good as your ability to enforce it.

If this seller is already being cagey, walk away and find a better seller.

That's too late, as I believed the advert, and that eBay wouldn't allow misleading advertising, eBay should investigate

eBay cannot enforce any guarantees on items other than that which is covered in their 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy.

Receive a faulty/ item not as described within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery,  and you are guaranteed a full refund.

When that period lapses as @jckl1957  correctly states,  it's between you and the seller to be able to go forward and enforce any seller's guarantee.
