last Tuesday I sent an offer to a seller and 15 minutes later I get and email which said "Your offer was accepted by the seller. Your payment is complete." and on the same email is says the estimated delivery is the 7th of February, with the money gone from my bank account I assumed everything was done.
now today on the 7th I get another email saying my purchase has been cancelled due to "The item is out of stock or is damaged" and I will be refunded in 3-5 working days, but then I check the sellers sold history and the item I purchased is there but at a higher price than I paid, clicking the item brings me to my refunded order which means its the same one.
its the first time I'm experiencing something like this and I'm just confused to what happened, the seller has yet to answer so I thought I would try posting here.
at the end of the day I'm getting my money back so I guess its not important as to what happened, just curious, but it has ruined my plans and it might be up to 2 weeks before I can buy another one and have it delivered.

This is bad selling but unfortunately no one can force the seller to send out a winning, paid for item.
The seller selected out of stock for the reason, so will have gained themselves a damaging defect on their account.
It doesn't take too many defects for a Private seller to receive selling restrictions, eBay do not like unhappy buyers.
You can leave feedback to reflect this experience, but do not mention anything about a refund or any eBay intervention, something on the lines.... very disappointed the seller did not complete this transaction...
