Hi, I have recently bought a nightmare before christmas advent calendar from a seller. However when the item arive it was a fake funko pop advent calendar called a "fanke", although there listing and images used are that of the genuine funko pop.
I contacted the seller regarding this, there was no admittance of what they had done and offered me a 20% refund. I refused this and explained that I would not be accepting 20% for an item that i didn't order or want. The seller told me that I could send the item back, but I would have to pay for all the return cost. I informed the seller that I was more than happy to return this item, but I insisted that they pay for the return cost, as they had knowingly sold me a fake funko pop item.
This went back and forth for a few days, where an agreement was made that they would issue me a 60% refund and I could keep the item. I wasn't happy with this but at this point I was annoyed at having to deal with this and agreed.
I had already left negative feedback about my experience, but then the seller kept on sending messages requesting that I alter my feedback back to positive before they would issue the refund. Again I refused to do so and was just met with the same request over and over.
I have reported this seller 3 times now to Ebay (with the limited options provided in the help and report centre) and yet nothing has been done.
Why is there no option to report the seller for a scam and why are Ebay not taking this issue seriously, when upon looking more into the sellers feedback, this is not the first time that this has happened to someone.
I am beginning to get frustrated that Ebay is allowing this, and furthermore there isn't any options to report these issues.
Thanks

All you had to do was use the money back guarantee.

On every listing on the right hand side is eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, this gives you 100% cover to receive a full refund if you receive an item not as desctibed, if you claim within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery.
Never ever, listen to a seller's excuses and weak promises of partial refunds when you are entitled to a full refund , and you Do Not pay for the return cost of the item, the seller does.
Read up about the MBG, link below, it can save you alot of money, time and grief when buying from eBay.

Why didn't you just return it for a full refund (the seller has to pay for the return postage cost)?
