It is my belief that the seller has acted in bad faith and has removed a plastic foot from the bottom of the device, taken a picture as “proof”, claimed that the foot was missing upon return, and then only refunded 50% of the original purchase price. The seller has claimed that “important accessories are missing” and provided a photo of the underside of the device as “proof” showing that the foot is missing. The foot in question is only attached by a single Philips screw and can be removed very easily within 10 seconds using a screw driver. Furthermore the 50% reduction in refund value is in excess of £400.00 which far exceeds the value of the missing foot in question. I have attempted to cancel the order on numerous occasions but the seller has refused and I strongly believe has acted in bad faith. Does anyone know what should I do to get the full refund? Please help. Thank you

Most sellers have to give a full refund, apart from some business sellers/power sellers.
I don't understand why you say you have attempted to cancel the transaction. Do you mean you tried to cancel the purchase before the item was sent?
Did you open a case and return the item through an Ebay return?
Why did you return the item?
If you returned the item via Ebay, and the seller has only refunded 50%, as long as you were within a month, you can appeal. See the link below. Ebay might make the seller refund a larger amount, or they might refund you without involving the seller.
This will only be possible if you returned the item via an Ebay case.
How to appeal a decision
You can start an appeal by selecting the item above, or by following these steps:
- Find the item in your Purchases - opens in new window or tab.
- Select See case details.
- Select Send us an appeal.
- Fill in the details and select Submit.

Did you return to seller through a return case, if so did seller make the part refund through the case or outside it, which would make it easier to reduce the amount refunded.
If NOT refunded through the case, then escalate the case to get the withheld money.

So, irrespective of when you bought the item, you have 30 days from when the case closes to appeal.
'If you don't agree with our resolution when we've stepped in to help resolve an issue, you can appeal by providing new information within 30 calendar days of the case closing.'

if eBay remove a buyers protection that's usually because they have opened too many cases.
