Recalled perfume

Had a message from eBay saying CK one perfume I bought in December is being recalled as hazodorous to health! So informed the seller who agreed to refund me. He then sent a fake postage label ,so then I paid £4 to send back , now he's not responding to me and not refunding obviously! I can't seem to inform eBay as listing is too old! Although it's a recalled item. Any help???

Re: Recalled perfume

eBay won't get involved with this, it's too long ago.

Do you have a tracking number showing delivery back to the seller, and are they a UK registered business?

Although it's a recalled item.

eBay's own money back guarantee only lasts for 30 days. After that, they have no interest.

eBay will pass on recall notices to buyers, but only for information; any responsibility will rest with the seller or manufacturer.

The recall notice should tell buyers what action to take. This normally means returning the original item to the seller or manufacturer. If it instructed you to return it to the seller you could try reporting your experince to the manufacturer. If you still have proof of purchase they might still refund you.

Otherwise I doubt you will get your money back. Even your payment provider would normally require online tracking proof of return, which if you were sent a fake label you presumably can't provide.
