Hi Everyone. I have now been given clear details about this subject from Ebay.
If the offeree makes an offer of £4.13, Ebay adds the Buyer Protection Fee to that, when the offer is made, which is why the offeree sees an offer of £4.50 and the seller receiving the offer, sees an offer of £4.13.
The seller will receive £4.13 but the buyer will pay £4.50

That;'s not quite right. The buyer would have offered £4.50 and ebay take the fee from that.

The buyer's offer will be the total they expect to pay, with the only adfition being postage if charged for.
In your example if the buyer offered £4.13, that would include the BPF.

Rather a fuss about very little, but if the buyer offered £4.13 then I think that is what they would pay. Seller would receives only about £3.75.

Yes, that is what happens if the buyer makes an offer of £4.50.
In other words, the buyer has entered the amount of £4.50 on the offer page.
But that is not what your first post said.
