New eBay Private Seller Fees from Feb 2025

Just for clarity, I assume the Seller has to take the hit on the buyer fee?  For the  example given by eBay below does the Seller only receive £20-£1.49 = £18.51?  If so, as a percentage, this is 7.5%...  So going forwards, us private Sellers will need to hike  our  initial price by minimum 7.5% or find other Selling platforms.

I am so sick of 'Buyer is king '

'Buyers will pay up to 4% of the item price, plus £0.75.** For example, when they see an item for £20, the fee of £1.49 will already be part of the price.'

Re: New eBay Private Seller Fees from Feb 2025

The buyer's fee is added to the sellers item price.    So if for instance the item price is set by the seller at £20, buyer pays a buyer protection variable fee of 4% of £20 = 80p.   Plus the buyer protection flat fee of 75p.   So the item price that buyer sees will be £21.55 + postage.   Seller gets their original item price of £20.
