This new Buyers Protection Scheme will have the effect of making buyers think twice before buying anything from a private seller if they have to pay a fee for buying items. When you buy anything off the internet you have to pay for it first, not when its delivered. Why should buying on e-bay be any different? With the vagaries of the postal system I can see sellers having to wait quite a while for their money. The cost of postage will also have to go up as everything will have to be tracked and signed for. I have been a member of e-bay for 20 years but I think this latest change to the rules is crazy.
