I have been selling on eBay around 2 years. I started with private account selling my belonging then I started selling items from charity shop. I decided to upgrade to a business account as I want to work from home and leave the job I am doing now. There are a lot of fee to pay including listing fee then I decided to subscribe an eBay shop. I now got eBay shop around 6 or 7 months. eventually my eBay listing become more visible like 30, 40, or even 160 view some of my listing. I thought now I can rely on eBay and I wanted to escalate further. I sold more on this Christmas then after Christmas my sell continue to increase, then there was a buyer who live in Belfast who bought item from me. I did not know that most of carrier don't go to Belfast except Royal Mail, I really want to cancel the item but eBay will leave a defect which I was avoiding, then I used Royal Mail with wrong label, Royal Mail did not deliver and they asked to pay £3.50. she open a case item not received. I contacted her and said to her go to post office get the card from them I will pay the extra money they are claiming but the buyer refused to cooperate and said I am not interfering it is you and Royal Mail. I contacted them a staff told me how to pay online but I could not pay and had difficult to pay. I contacted eBay one of the staff I spoke to advised me not to refund to the buyer because he saw that I refund to another buyer which his item was damaged and he said to me we don't only protect buyer we also protect the seller. I waited for little while then the buyer asked eBay to step in.
eBay stepped in refunded to the buyer and they left 3 defect on my account and views of my listing gone down very fast suddenly. the sell gone down. Some of my items are popular and other sellers are selling in their hundreds, on my listing there is not even 1 view. I contacted eBay and asked to remove the defect and I also told them there are no views on my listing since they left the defect, they said they will remove the defect and your account will come back to normal. They removed It but there are no views most of my item and views are diminishing. some of my items there were no where to be seen, If I put the title on the search bar I don't see my item while I used to see before. I contacted eBay today and explained the situation. It looks like they are in denial saying after Christmas this happens. That is not the truth I was getting sales and views after Christmas until eBay stepped in and left 3 defects. What can I do my hope of becoming full time eBay seller is gone!
