Monthly limits? What a load of nonsense. I'm not a 'business' and I've been using eBay to buy and sell for about 25 years. Having been away from the platform for a few years, I find I have a monthly limit! And not 'entitled' to have it raised. And nobody to complain to except a robot. Well, stuff you eBay. If you don't want my listings, I'll find someone does.

When you take a break on ebay your classed as a new seller,so will have a limit assigned to you until you get some feedback etc to show your a good seller with standards, and no disputes etc 😉
The furniture you have for sale for collection, means no cash on collection now,as payment is made via ebay chaeckout, and the buyer gets a 6 digit collection code when they pay which must be shown to you and possibly scanned or entered manually in your order details to prove collection so you get payments released.

eBay stuffed or unstuffed, do not come to these boards we are members here like yourself.
If you have had a break from selling and eBay see sudden selling activity on a selling account it raises red flags. As this could be a sign of a hijacked account.
So the initial selling limit is reduced as eBay wish to see items being sold are posted promptly and received, tracked items will help you here. This proves to eBay the genuine seller has returned to sell on this account. Then, satisfied , limits can be increased.
Annoying not to be able to sell more that's understandable, but hopefully with the reason above you will understand the reason.
It does work too, since this limit was introduced I've had to answer far fewer questions from sellers who have had their accounts hijacked returning to accounts showing ' they owed' hundreds / thousands of pounds in refunds, can take months to sort the issue out!

Ebay policies are made to cover most bases, not each individual, so don't take offence as there isn't any, there making sure you and your buyers are secure and safe.

Please remember you are not talking to eBay here, but to members like yourself, who are volunteers and are just helping you with your question.
We have no sway on how eBay apply their security measures for a returning seller, but as explained in my post above the measures are not futile, annoying perhaps, but they do work.
