When I go to 'messages' I get a quick flash of the correct page followed by a blue box which wont let me enter anything or go away. What can I do about it please?

Which device or browser are you using?
If the app or mobile browser, switch if you can to a laptop / PC and try Chrome, that works well with eBay.
Log out completely, log back in and clear cache and cookies, that can help, too.
