Made a bid! Bur seller has made another listing of item but higher

I’ve made a bid after speaking to the seller of a sofa priced 1200 bidding! I’ve noticed the seller now has the same item up for another listing same item priced £500 more is this legal

I don't understand your post.  Have you actually bought the sofa and paid for it, or just bid?

The seller might have more than one.

If seller only has one and has listed two, then if you are bidding he risks  selling two, which will cause him problems. Hardly illegal but foolish.

If you spoke to the seller before making an offer I assume they're a business seller, as eBay won't allow private sellers to provide contact details until the listing has ended.

If the seller accepted your bid for £1200 they should obviously honour it, but non-selling sellers can't be forced to sell, any more than non-paying buyers can be forced to buy. It happens. If they won't sell it there's nothing you can do except to leave appropriate feedback and use Bay's money back guarantee if you have already paid.

If they're now selling it for a higher price, that's up to them. There's nothing you can do about it.

No they’re private sellers it said contact so I did there was no blockage on making contact they aren’t business sellers I can message any seller business or not I don’t understand why you think I can’t?
